Meander makes Lock Screen wallpapers on your iPhone. It has no accounts and no ads, and it contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code from anyone else. Your recipes stay on your iPhone. The one thing Meander can send is your answer to "Did it play?", and only if you turn on Share my answer.
Meander asks for permission to add to your photo library, so it can save the Live Photos you make. That permission only adds photos: Meander can't see or read your library.
On an iPhone with Apple Intelligence, Apple Intelligence on your iPhone picks the settings for what you type, and Meander's code draws every line. What you type stays on your iPhone. Meander doesn't send it anywhere.
A link you share carries the recipe's settings, its name and pattern style, the day for a today's terrain, and, for a curated recipe, which one it is. All of it rides in the part of the link after the "#", which browsers don't send to websites, so meander.design never receives it. If someone opens your link without Meander installed, meander.design sends them to the App Store. Meander keeps no copy of shared recipes, and there's no way to browse other people's.
After you save a Live Photo, Meander asks whether the wallpaper moved when you woke your iPhone. Your answers stay on your iPhone unless you turn on Share my answer, which is off until you turn it on.
With it on, Meander sends a record for the first Live Photo you answer Yes or No about, and for the first after each iOS update or change in how Meander packages Live Photos. A No you report later in Help is sent too, marked as a later save. Each record holds:
Each record is stored with the date, never the time. Records aren't linked to you. They're used only to find the iPhones and iOS versions where Meander's wallpapers stop moving. Each is kept for 12 months, one iOS cycle; after that only totals stay, counted by iPhone model, iOS version and how the Live Photo was packaged. Turn sharing off any time in Meander: tap More, then Playback answers.
Our host, Vercel, records the IP address of each visit for security and reliability. It keeps it for up to a day, or longer where its own security policy requires. Meander never stores an IP address with your answer and never matches the host's logs with answers. Records are stored with Neon.
Meander downloads one small file from meander.design that says how to package Live Photos for each iPhone and iOS version. The request carries nothing about you or your recipes.
Meander Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and Meander only learns, on your iPhone, whether you own Pro.
If this policy changes, this page will say what changed and when.
